'Butter Tablet' is the Scottish version of fudge. Traditionally made with sugar, butter and condensed milk, it has a texture and taste all its own. We called on a neighbour, Ross's from Edinburgh, to supply us with their authentic Scottish tablet for this bar. They have been making Scottish sweets for over 130 years and their tablet is wonderfully creamy with a delicious buttery taste. We have combined the tablet with a mixture of white and 'golden' chocolate. Gold chocolate is white chocolate made with caramelized sugar and caramelized milk, and has rich notes of toffee, butter, cream and a hint of salt. The golden fudge-like color also makes this bar look eerily like a tablet!

A perfect bar if you have a sweet tooth: this bar is sweetness with a capital Z!

Scottish Butter Tablet: Ingredients: White chocolate with caramel: Cocoa butter, sugar, whole MILK powder, MILK sugar, whey powder (MILK), skimmed MILK powder, caramelized sugar (2%), emulsifier: SOY lecithin, natural vanilla flavor, salt . (Min. cocoa 30%); White chocolate: sugar, cocoa butter, whole MILK powder, emulsifier (E322): SOY lecithin (E322), flavouring: natural vanilla. Cocoa components at least 28%, MILK components at least 21%. Ross's of Edinburgh Scottish Tablet: sugar, glucose syrup, condensed MILK, BUTTER (4%), fondant (sugar, glucose syrup, water); Sunflower lecithin.
